1.Parties and scope
1.1These Terms govern your use of the photo editor GlowMuse (微光修图, formerly Lumi Edit, the “App”) and related official support services. The App is provided by Molly Lu, an individual developer (“we” or “us”). Contact details are in Section 12.
1.2These Terms describe conditions for editing, saving, sharing and support. Personal data processing is described separately in the Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these Terms is not blanket consent to all processing and does not replace any legally required separate or parental consent.
1.3For App Store distribution, the software licence is governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement or a custom licence validly provided through the App Store, as actually applicable to the App. Displaying this page does not itself replace the Standard EULA. Licensing and platform matters remain subject to the applicable valid licence and platform rules. The Standard EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ .
1.4Formation, effectiveness and changes to these Terms must satisfy applicable notice, consent and standard-contract requirements. Merely viewing this webpage does not constitute acceptance of new obligations. No provision excludes your mandatory consumer rights.
2.Software licence and photo rights
2.1You may use the App on compatible devices in accordance with the applicable software licence, platform rules and law. Rights in the software, interface and included materials belong to their respective owners. Installation or use does not transfer ownership. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
2.2Your existing rights in your photos do not transfer to us through local editing. Reading a photo to perform on-device editing does not grant us rights to use it separately for promotion, advertising or model training. Editing does not itself grant permission to use another person’s photos, likeness or works.
2.3Included example images illustrate features. Unless the relevant licence permits it, you are not granted separate rights to reproduce, sell or distribute those materials. This section does not restrict uses permitted by law or rights expressly granted by open-source licences.
3.Lawful use and third-party rights
3.1Edit, save or share only content for which you have the relevant rights or necessary permission. Respect others’ privacy, likeness and intellectual property. Do not use the App for unlawful conduct, fraud, harassment or infringement of others’ lawful rights.
3.2An edited result does not prove authenticity, identity or consent to distribution. Before editing or sharing photos involving others or minors, check the applicable permissions and legal requirements.
3.3For a rights complaint concerning the App or included materials, use Section 12 to identify the content, basis of your rights and requested action. We require only information necessary to assess the complaint and must handle it according to law. The App does not provide public hosting or social publishing of user content.
4.Features and editing results
4.1The current released selection and capture flows process static photos, with editing performed on device. Available features depend on your installed version and its corresponding descriptions. Features in other versions, tests or examples are not automatically promises about your version.
4.2Results depend on photo content, device capabilities and your edits. Local repair may leave artefacts or change nearby details. Check results before saving or sharing, and use available undo, cancel or retry controls. Help examples do not guarantee identical results for every photo.
4.3These statements explain technical characteristics. They do not diminish remedies for a service that fails to meet contractual or statutory requirements or is defective.
5.Saving, export and sharing
5.1Editing sessions are not automatically saved as recoverable projects. Leaving the editor or termination of the App may lose unsaved edits. Retain important originals and backups. A successful save creates a separate copy in the system photo library without overwriting the original.
5.2Export format, quality, working-image dimensions, cropping and save settings affect detail and file size. “Maximum size” does not mean preservation of any original resolution. PNG cannot recover detail already lost during editing or resizing.
5.3Completion of the share sheet does not confirm publication by the recipient platform. Once delivered, the selected app or service handles the image. Deleting the App does not recall copies held in your photo library or by third parties. See the Privacy Policy for the related data processing.
6.Permissions, networks and third-party services
6.1Photo access, capture and saving depend on the relevant system permissions and device conditions. You may refuse or withdraw a permission, which may disable dependent features. That choice does not grant other permissions to the App.
6.2Help and legal webpages require a network connection; access to iCloud photos may also use the network. Network charges depend on your carrier agreement. Apple Photos, iCloud, system sharing, hosting and email services may be subject to third-party rules. We cannot control those services on their providers’ behalf, but remain responsible for our own legal obligations.
6.3You decide whether to share a photo or send feedback. An unsent email draft is not a submitted support request. Consult the Privacy Policy for on-device processing, website request data, support information and rights channels.
7.Prices, transactions and consumer remedies
7.1The current version has no in-app account registration or subscription purchase flow. Any download price is the information shown by the App Store before the transaction. These Terms do not independently authorise a charge.
7.2If paid features or subscriptions are introduced, their price, content, duration, renewal and cancellation conditions must be disclosed before purchase and any legally required confirmation obtained. Updating these Terms alone cannot authorise new charges.
7.3For App Store transactions, you may use Apple’s transaction or refund process. That process does not exclude rights to seek a refund, repair, replacement, price reduction, termination or other remedy from the legally responsible party, as applicable to the transaction and law.
8.Responsibility and statutory rights
8.1We are responsible in accordance with applicable law and valid agreements. The App’s technical limitations do not remove our service obligations. Editing results may be affected by photo, device and operating conditions. We will address service defects, faults and reasonable complaints as required by law.
8.2These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for personal injury protected by applicable law, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, mandatory consumer rights and personal data protection obligations.
8.3Damages and other liabilities are determined by applicable law and valid agreements, taking account of fault, causation and evidence where legally relevant. Any limitation of liability must remain within what applicable law permits and must not impair your statutory rights to seek remedies from the responsible party.
9.Changes and termination
9.1We may update or adjust services for security, system compatibility, fixes or legal compliance. Material adverse changes to purchased services require legally applicable notice and choices or remedies. This section does not authorise arbitrary cancellation of accrued statutory rights.
9.2Revisions must show a revision date. Material changes to your rights or obligations require appropriate notice and consent where the law requires it. Continued use cannot universally be treated as consent to any amendment.
9.3You may stop using and delete the App. Licence termination is governed separately by the applicable licence and mandatory law. Termination does not affect accrued liabilities or provisions that lawfully survive it. See the Privacy Policy for effects on local data, photo-library copies and support information.
10.Use by minors
10.1Users without the legal capacity required to enter into these Terms independently must use the service with the consent and guidance of a parent or other guardian as required by law. Age and authorisation requirements depend on applicable law, not solely on an App Store content rating.
10.2Photos and personal data of minors are subject to special protection rules. See “Children and minors” in the Privacy Policy for the conditions applicable in Mainland China, the EEA, UK and United States.
11.Complaints, disputes and regional application
11.1If you have a complaint about the App or these Terms, contact us using Section 12 and explain the issue. Support is a convenient channel, not a mandatory prerequisite to a regulatory complaint, mediation or legal proceedings.
11.2These Terms are governed by the laws of Mainland China. This choice does not deprive you of consumer protections that cannot be excluded by agreement under applicable law, including mandatory protections of your habitual residence where applicable. Disputes may be brought before courts having jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not restrict statutory rights to bring proceedings where you reside or impose compulsory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
11.3Mandatory rules on consumer protection, digital content or services, personal data and dispute resolution applicable in Mainland China, the EEA, UK, United States or other distribution regions are not excluded. Regional rules apply only when their statutory conditions are met.
11.4The Chinese and English versions aim to express the same content; neither is given unconditional precedence. Differences are resolved under applicable law, contract interpretation and applicable consumer protection rules. An invalid provision does not automatically invalidate other independently effective provisions.
